During the years 2007 to 2014, a process called Mediation boomed in our country. It was introduced by the 2008/52/CE from 21st May regulation on certain civil and business aspects.

However, Mediation has been part of the American and European societies for many years. In our country, it is still in its pioneering stage and though legislators have wanted to force its use, it is not extensively applied. But from my humble perception, I want to say that uncivilized tribes quickly adapted to changes, to the way of doing transactions. So, from the different levels of our society, we must strive and join forces in order to make it works theoretically and practically, looking for a better justice and citizens’ satisfaction who then feel part of their conflict resolution.

The head of our Law Firm, Antonia Delgado Garrucho, who holds a University Expert Diploma in family, civil and business mediation wants to contribute her “grain of sand” increasingly trying to mediate the highest possible number of cases.
